Artists have always related to what happens around them. Our well-being depends on human connections also mine. We want to feel seen, valued, exchange energy and built trust. This is reflected in certain aspects of my artistic work such as my drawings. Human connections give us a sense of belonging.
Field Work means to observe people to understand how they behave in a social environment and how they react to situations around them.
It involves going into a natural setting to understand people within that context i.e. understanding people in their everyday natural setting.
The method of field research is widely used in a public setting or environment but not in a private environment as it raises an ethical dilemma. I’m especially interested in the thin line between private and public environment. This kind of ethical dilemma’s where different moral requirements meet each other.
